Meet your Counsellor
"My choice to become a counsellor came from my own personal experience of struggle. After attending therapy and working with a counsellor to understand my own experiences, I recognised the power of talk therapy in helping people heal, feeling empowered to create positive, long lasting change. I hope to provide that same, healing space to others"
People come to counselling for many reasons, you may be experiencing trauma - past or present, anxiety, depression, miscarriage, marriage difficulties, abortion or bereavement. As a person-centred counsellor I work with clients in a collaborative way, ensuring you feel safe and secure in a non-judgemental and trusted environment. During our sessions we will work together at your own pace, ensuring you feel comfortable and safe. I will not provide you with advice or tell you what to do but work with you to support you in deepening your self-awareness, giving you the space to explore any thoughts or feelings you may be struggling with.
I offer in person counselling on Monday afternoons in a warm, welcoming and confidential space within the small town of Oakham, Rutland.
Alternatively, online appointments are available where you can access therapy in a space that feels comfortable for you, allowing sessions to be accessible, making time for you in a world that can often feel fast paced with little time to spend taking care of you.
